This Great Egret (Ardea alba) mother is completely worn out and decides to take a snooze. Raising these little Dino’s isn’t easy!

This past spring I was taken to my first heron rookery while the herons were on nest. Herons & Cormorants shared the rookery. Was told this was the 1st year the Cormorants arrived before Herons. Yes - an Eagle's nest was in the same vicinity. Had my binocs! What a treat! :-)
