It's a scene that invokes feelings of serenity and joy, connecting us to the rhythm of the seasons and the cycles of growth and renewal.

Whether in a serene garden, a picturesque park, or a hidden meadow, the incredible sea of pink serves as a visual symphony, reminding us of the harmony that exists in the world around us. A massive flock of Flamingos at Lake Bogoria in Kenya.

Every year the lakes of Kenya become packed with one of the largest populations of flamingo in the world - leading it to be dubbed 'Flamingo City' by visitors. The area around the lakes turns a spectacular shade of pink as an incredibly large number of flamingos - thought to be between 1.5 and 2 million individuals - gather to breed. The region is so popular with the birds because of the huge amount of algae which grows due to the shallow depth of the water and the intense sunlight.

This magnificent shot was captured by photographer Steve Garvie who visited the site while on a holiday with his family, and was utterly stunned by the awesome sight he witnessed.
